Looking Up at the Night Sky
There’s an interesting experience when you’re traveling at a great speed and look up to see the stars. Despite everything around you whizzing by, they continue their leisurely pace across the night sky.

That is where we are. Things are moving quickly, new medications and procedures coming our way. Dozens of questions and explanations, finding a path out of the multitude of variables.
The end goal, however, remains constant and approaching. In the next 24-48 hours he will be born. It feels like every time things start smoothly they go a little sideways but we are well cared for and can feel confident in our choices.
Susan is holding up so well, her positivity is uncompromised as is her ferocious protection of her and the baby’s health. The doctors and nurses are so respectful and informative, we couldn’t have asked for better.
So onward we march with a plan. First a prayer under the night sky, then we take the next step towards bringing our little man into the world, and eventually to our home.
